Three Named NJCAA All-America

Dec. 19, 2017 -- The Northeast Football Conference had three individuals named to the NJCAA All-America team, announced Tuesday. They were ASA wide receiver Edward Morgan, Monroe offensive lineman David Harris and ASA defensive lineman Jaicorious Johnson.

Morgan, a redshirt freshman from Washington, D.C., tied the conference record with 60 receptions. His 6.0 receptions per game are second. He finished fifth in touchdown receptions (11), sixth in receiving yards (846) and 10th in receiving yards per game (84.6). His 13 touchdowns overall are tied for ninth. He was also the Offensive MVP in ASA's win over Mesa in the Valley of the Sun Bowl.

Harris, a sophomore from Yonkers, New York, helped Monroe lead the NEFC in rushing with 1,799 yards. He is the first Mustang to be chosen NJCAA All-America.

Johnson, a sophomore from Opelika, Alabama, finished second in the NEFC with 11.5 tackles for loss. He was the 2017 NEFC Defensive Player of the Year.
