ASA tops No. 10 Lackawanna

UNIONDALE, New York - ASA handed No. 10 Lackawanna a 21-14 loss at Mitchell Field.

ASA quarterback Stone Labanowitz completed 23 of 29 passes for 274 yards and two touchdowns. Donte Thomas-Williams caught one of those scoring passes to give the Avengers a 13-7 lead in the third quarter. Lackawanna quarterback Michael Dare then gave the Falcons a 14-13 befoe3 Thomas-Williams scored on a 1-yard run for the 21-14 score.

ASA's Angel Suarez caught seven passes for 74 yards.

Dare completed 16 of 26 passes for 232 yards. Juwan Green led Lackawanna with seven receptions for 104 yards. Rashied Mallete caught six passes for 115 yards.

London Cloud led Lackawanna with eight tackles while Jaicorious Johnson led ASA with 10 tackles.

Monroe 34, Valley Forge Military 32

NEW ROCHELLE, New York - No. 16 Monroe improved to 6-0 with the win over Valley Forge Military. Jalen Brown threw for four touchdowns in the win Saturday at Joseph F. Fosina Field.

The Mustangs opened a 27-6 lead on Brown's fourth touchdown toss of the day. However, Valley Forge scored 18-straight points before Makiya Caesar scored on a 36-yard run. Valley Forge scored again and converted the two-point extra point. Monroe recovered the onside kick and ran out the clock.
