Monroe rolls past Hocking, Lackawanna tops GMC

NEW ROCHELLE, New York - Nov. 10 - No. 13 Monroe closed its regular season with a 69-28 nonconference win over Hocking at Joseph F. Fosina Field. Jalen Brown and Kyle DeOrio both threw three touchdowns in the contest. Monroe finishes the regular season 7-1.The Mustangs' 69 points are a single-game record, surpassing the 58 scored last season in a win over Thaddeus Stevens College. The record-breaking night also included all-purpose yards (852), total offense (719), rushing yards (378), touchdowns (10), touchdown passes (6) and quarterback efficiency rating (268.5). Jarious Jones' rushing 201 yards led Monroe while Zaire Jones added 78. Brown finished with 216 passing yards and DeOrio added 125. Tyler Hodge had seven receptions for 127 yards and the two touchdowns. Grant Melton made nine tackles and pass breakup to go with his interception.


Lackawanna 30, Georgia Military College 15

HUNTINGTON, West Virginia - Nov. 11 - No. 6 Lackawanna recorded its second 10-0 regular season in three years with the 30-15 win over Georgia Military College at Marshall University.
