First halves power NEFC teams

The Northeast Football Conference teams combined for 82 first-half points in their three games this weekend. Here are the recaps:
Lackawanna 56, Nassau 21

GARDEN CITY, New York - Sept. 22 - No. 10 Lackawanna scored 28 unanswered points to roll to a 42-14 halftime lead and a 51-26 win over Nassau (RV) at Mitchel Athletic Field.

Shane McLaughlin threw three touchdowns in the first half for the Falcons, now 4-0. He finished the game with 199 yards passing. Jael Negron had two receptions for 120 yards and a touchdown while Javon Turner caught three passes for 55 yards and two scores. Darius Brown ran for 130 yards and a touchdown.

Lackawanna recorded 10 sacks, including four by JaQuan Brisker.

ASA 39, Hocking 14

GARDEN CITY, New York - Sept. 22 - ASA quarterback Abdou Diop threw for 245 yards and two scores and ran for another as the Avengers defeated Hocking 39-14 at Mitchel Athletic Field.

ASA, now 2-1, forced three turnovers in the contest. The Avengers also ran for four scores.

Monroe 55, Wagner JV 0

STATEN ISLAND, New York - Sept. 23 - Jalen Brown ran and threw for a touchdown while Armani Bermudez returned a kickoff and ran for a touchdown as No. 16 Monroe defeated Wagner JV 55-0.

Zaire Jones ran for 139 yards and a touchdown while Jarious Jones ran for two fourth-quarter touchdowns and 134 yards, The Mustangs, one of the NJCAA's top rushing teams, ran for 335 yards.
