Lackawanna, Monroe and ASA record wins

NEW ROCHELLE, New York - Nov. 2 - Monroe quarterback Dominique Shoffner ran for three touchdowns and threw for another as No. 18 Monroe (7-2) recorded a 68-6 win over Erie at Joseph F. Fosina Field.

Troy Booker and Clayton Scott also ran for two scores and Jevin Frett added a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Shoffner and Scott have each run for 12 touchdowns this season, tying them for seventh on the all-time Northeast Football Conference single-season list. Shoffner's 21 touchdown passes this season also make him eighth in that category. He is fourth with 134 pass completions and fifth with 1,982 passing yards.

Idrissa Nikiema opened the scoring with a 36-yard field goal before Shoffner ran for touchdowns of 10 and 13 yards. Booker's 2 yard touchdown run gave the Mustangs a 24-0 lead after the first quarter. Monroe ran for 224 yards. Nikiema's nine made extra-point kicks give him 50 this season, placing him tied for third on the NEFC single-season list. His 71 kicking points also place him third.

Charles Amankwaa had two interceptions to lead the Monroe defense.

The Mustangs close the regular season against Hocking Nov. 9 in Nelsonville, Ohio.

No. 2 Lackawanna 59, New Jersey Warriors 0

SCRANTON, Pennsylvania - No. 2 Lackawanna, owners of the NJCAA's longest active win streak, improved to 9-0 with the 59-0 win over the New Jersey Warriors at Valor Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Calvin Bell ran for 183 yards and a touchdown and quarterback Matt Cavallaro threw for two touchdown and ran for another. Rashard Jackson ran for 139 yards and two scores. Delvin Palmer added two rushing touchdowns while Cameron Ceccotti made a 31-yard field goal.

The Falcons intercepted two passes and recorded four sacks in their third shutout of the season.

Cavallaro has thrown 22 touchdown passes to tie him for fifth on the NEFC single-season list in that category. Ceccotti has made 10 field goals to rank third in that category while his 77 points rank second among kickers. His 47 made extra-point kicks tie him for fifth.

Lackawanna closes the regular season Nov. 10 against No. 12 Georgia Military College.

No. 16 ASA 49, Louisburg 7

LOUISBURG, North Carolina - No. 16 ASA improved to 7-2 with the 49-7 win at Louisburg.

ASA quarterback Nasir Boykin ran for three touchdowns as the Avengers scored 42 unanswered points. ASA intercepted two passes and recovered two Louisburg passes. Keadin Robinson caught five passes for 95 yards.
