Oct. 31, 2016 - The Northeast Football Conference selected Dean's Terrence Ricks, Daniel Palmer and Jordan Colleary and Nassau's Ali Ali-Musa as the conference's players of the week. Palmer and Ali-Musa share the defensive honor.

Ricks, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound sophomore running back from Chesapeake, Virginia/Western Branch, ran for 98 yards on 20 carries in Dean's 23-13 win over Monroe. He also had a 37-yard touchdown run in the contest.

Palmer, a 6-1, 250-pound sophomore inside linebacker from Hartford, Connecticut/Hartford, was credited with seven tackles, four solo, to go with a sack, a tackle for loss and a pass breakup. He also intercepted a pass and returned it 40 yards for a touchdown.

Ali-Musa, a 6-2, 285-pound sophomore defensive end from Annondale, Virginia/Annondale, made seven solo tackles and returned a fumble 44 yards for a touchdown. He was also credited with a sack. His touchdown gave the Lions a 14-0 lead in the first quarter of their 41-7 win over ASA.

Colleary, a 6-foot, 175-pound freshman from Palm Harbor, Florida/Palm Harbor, made a 36-yard field goal and two extra-point kicks in the Bulldogs' victory. He averaged 33.3 yards per punt, placed one punt inside the opponents' 20-yard line, and recorded a 50-yard punt. He also made five kickoffs for an average of 64.4 yards with four touchbacks. He was honored three times this season.
